However it would appear that in any adult discussion, particularly on any forum, that if an opinion conflicts with any other opinion, that said person is talking shit!!

Depends, if its a suicide or murder caught on tape I will choose not to view it out of respect. But if its an execution of a murderer who kills out of selfishness and greed or a dictator who kills thousands for self accommodation, then I have no qualms about watching it, because they deserve no respect.

This topic is not about respect. Its about the watching of a live death.
However, you did answer in your own words.
Does it bring some sort of closure to yourself as regards Saddam? What did you personally gain from watching a "snuff movie"? How did you feel after it? Why do you feel that way after viewing it? Why do you feel that you have to watch anymore deaths?
I have not viewed the video, nor feel any need to. The guy did wrong on a massive scale, he suffered the consequences. Who will be next on the video?

Seriously just 'STFU'. I can't believe some of the people on these forums that are straight up homosexual panzys. Take the dick out from between your cheeks and stop whining about every little confrontation of violence and death and observe HUMANITY. I'm reaching a boiling point (if not already @) because of people that are pacifist/hippy.
Specifically...
This guy tortured innocent people - how sick is that? What benefit did that bring to humanity? So when I ask to see a video of his execution I'm suddenly sick? Eye for an eye... I wouldn't have complained if he was gassed - I strongly would have preferred that. I guess that's sick too?

Nah, just means you're a lightweight.
I think I made my point quite clear: the guy deserved to be gassed and got off easy with a hanging. He was executed for a reason, and I wanted to see the look on his face before they put the noose around his neck ... knowing it was his last minutes ... wondering what was going on in his mind.

Just when we thought it was over, I opened the newspaper and read some tragic news.
2 kids, aged 9 from Texas and the other aged 10 from Pakistan, died after attempting to reconstruct the hanging of Saddam.
It states that they had both seen the video and were killed in a tragic accident, whilst hanging from their bedroom ceiling.
Yeah, I know they were young and impressionable, just as I know that you are all older and wont attempt it.
But its still very tragic that 2 recorded deaths could have been prevented by not showing the video. At that age you have to question parental control, even if we cannot observe the children at all times, something needs to be done to prevent these accidents.
Any ideas?

Thats the point that I am trying to make.
WHY do you wonder? What will it achieve for you? Where are you going to look for more videos?
What did you learn about his last thoughts? Why do you personally need to know his thoughts? Had you found out his thoughts, what would you have done with them?
If any of your family had been killed, directly or indirectly at his hands or his soldiers, then I can understand the feelings, but if not.......
It appears that you have more than just a morbid curiosity to death. You seem to thrive on this.
Seek phsycological help for your inner thoughts and feelings before it is too late.

I have spent time in the Persian Gulf (active duty military), nearly lost my life in combat, and have had friends (not family) that died due to shitheads LIKE him (not necessarily him). To me, watching the video shows me justice and that going into Iraq for no other reason but to capture and hang that dirtbag was worth it.

Tragic, but I think at their age they're smart enough to know that it would kill them. They may have been a bit ignorant about getting out of the situation, but I definitely would NOT blame the media for their death.

I'd say to blame it on the parents but the kids probably saw it on the internet or something. Kind of why I wouldn't think the video would be allowed on the forums with kids around since if I had a kid, I wouldn't want him/her to watch it if i could try.

This game is rated for teens, so anybody under the age of 13 shouldn't be on here... not to mention that Renegade is about killing and destruction. If any kid that's impressionable and is on here is not the problem of the admins, mods, or the community.
The fact is, we see ever worsening parenting. People scream foul when something happens to kids, but where are the parents? The media and government is not responsible for raising our children. Some of our parents, and our grandparents grew up without television and video games to assist the learning of children. Parents have it easy, and they seem to think that they shouldn't be there except to discipline their kids, so when their kids see/learn about bad things, they blame everything around them. When you point a finger, 3 are pointing back at you.
Censorship is a farce.

It wasn't about revenge you ignoramous. You're such a half-brained, under educated, inexperienced, ignorant child. Stop talking out of your ass. You have NO life experience whatsoever. If you want to give your opinion on things I'm 100% OK with that as anyone of any age has that right. But the way you present your opinions are as fact and you flame me for mine when I have justification for my beliefs as I have the life experiences you do not.
It WAS worth thousands of lives to accomplish that mission because (a) all of those people swore and oath and knew ahead of time they could die in the line of duty (b) I spent 5+ years in military intelligence and have seen more "reality" than you could have possibly seen on your CNN.

Yeah, and that sure makes every invasion okay. I'm not sure if you have other friends/family in the military, but for most of them it's definitely not worth it. Not everyone is okay with mindlessly fighting an immoral war.

I do believe xptek means it wasn't worth killing him because of all the drama and revenge associated with his martyrdom. And there could have been alternative reasons to keep him alive.
And fl00d3d you need to cool your jets. You don't need use almost every post you make to bring up your military career.
