 RenGaurd Installion Problem [message #235759] |

I have a huge problem with rengaurd. I have been, until about a year ago been using rengaurd. Then it was uninstalled. Kinda. Now, when i run the setup, it says "Cannot be modified" if i select the "Repair" or "Modify" options. If i select "Remove" it seems to work fine. But then it's the same as before. I have tried removing rengaurd from the control panels "add and remove" function, nothing happens. I click remove and nothing goes.
If anyone can help me out, I'd really appreciate it. And sorry in advance if this is something thats been covered before.

You'll need to delete all registry keys that renguard instored. But I can't exactly tell you which ones.

I don't know that much about computers. Can you tell me how to delete those registry keys?

I don't know that much about computers. Can you tell me how to delete those registry keys?

If you don't know how I seriously advice you finding a friend who know what registry keys are to start with. Changes in the registry could muck everything up if you don't delete the correct ones.

Um... i dont think i know anyone who can help me with this. And i really wanna be able to use RenGaurd again

never mind 
but you should report back if its working for you so other people with the same problem will find the solution faster / will directly see if the problem has been solved.
furthermore a mod can decide to close the thread once the initial question is answered/solved. (dont know how they handle it here exactly).
anyways... a little feed back will always be appreciated i think.
