Everybody knows that the BCS is a flawed system. But, I don't think that any team who doesn't win their conference deserves to play for the national championship. No disrespect to Michigan, but look at who UF played. Their only loss was to Auburn, who finished 10-2. They beat LSU, who's playing in the Sugar Bowl. They beat Arkansas, who also was 10-2. Not to mention they beat FSU (I know they were down this year, but it was in Tallahasse), Tennessee in Knoxville, Alabama, UK, blah blah blah. UM beat a VERY OVERRATED Notre Dame team, Wisconsin, Penn State, and Iowa. I know they lost only by 3 to Ohio State, but their schedule doesn't merrit them a trip to the national championship game.

It's hard to say that Michigan doesn't deserve it because they didn't win their conference when the team that took it was OSU...
Michigan is the second-best team in the nation, and they should be playing Florida. They don't deserve a rematch as they already lost, but compared to everybody else... they deserve it.
Florida's schedule was harder, and they proved powerful this year, but I don't see them putting up as much of a fight against OSU as Michigan would.
Notre Dame had a hard schedule this year. They are overrated, but not by as much as you seem to think.

I personally think ND is. Look what they did last year, beat only 2 or 3 teams that went to bowl games. This year is a tad bit better. I think that if u bet on football, LSU over ND is the money bet no matter if LSU is picked by 3 or 23.
j_ball, I'm a huge college football fan. I went to Auburn, so trust me I hate the BCS more than most people after what happened in 2004. Are u a UM fan, being that u r from MI?
luv2pb, a playoff would be nice, look at D-1AA and D-2/3 playoffs, they work, but there is too much money involved for them ever to implement a playoff system in D-1
