Hey,
Whenever i join a game my pink spikes to 8k or so and then i disconnect. What is this? I have recently been fiddling with Renguard because i was trying to uninstall it and then it wouldn't work at all etc etc. I fiddled and got RG working again but now Ren is messed, could these 2 be linked? If so, how do i uninstall RG.
Thanks.

You can uninstall it like every other program in your configuration panel -> add/remove software.
This would not be related IMO.

Do you have these problems on different serevrs you join or just one or two? The serevr could be acting up.
Do you have any firewalls running? Is Windows firewall activated? They may be interfearing though it's strange that you'd be able to connect but directly disconnect as most firewalls wouldj ust block your connection straight away.
Do you play on WOL or gamespy?

I should have mentioned. This server i play in, i have been playing for the last year and a bit with no problem. This isn't an issue with where i live. It's a problem that has been brought on by something.. god knows what.

Yes i have. I tried a few different ones and i get the same problem. I tried to upload a 6 second clip of what happens but it will take too long. Basically when i join the game my ping is around normal(300ish). Then about 3 seconds later it starts rising, 2k, 4k, 8k. Then i get the message "Connection to server interrupted - Gameplay pending". Then i disconnect.
I have Norton Antivirus, but as you say it would block me from connecting at all. I play via WOL and get the issues. I have tried GameSpy and get the issue there aswell.

What connection do you have?
Most servers nowadays set a minimum bandwith. If you're on 56k and they set the minimum bandwith to 120k, then you'll be able to join but the serevr will change your BW to something your connection cannot handle and you'll get the effect you just described.

Check your Connection Setting in Renegade? If Renegade detects a BS value or it's set to a not-so-cool value, this may be the cause of the issues.

Yes, always set your connection setting in 'my information' to LAN/T1 just to make sure renegade doesn't fail its auto detection.
