i have always known dark matter existed, a while ago miles under the earths surface was a test, and (well tunnels of) dark matter particals were found. dark matter makes up about 90% of the universe.

their is 2 theorys(that i am a know about, about how the universe will end:

1) the universe will continue to expand and never die, all stars will fizzle out and it will be cold black emptyness.

2) the combined mass of the universe(so dark matter is needed) will pull the universe into a single point, and it will turn into a super-massive supernova ending in a black hole.
