what he did was wrong *BUT* what he did also opens your eyes to how easy it is to do that sort of stuff, heck i could create a program that could shutdown a server in a matter of minits if they didn't have some sort of udp flood protection. if no-one has learned that you *NEED* a firwall to stop this happening than you are stupid.

another way to stop this is simply to change the servers default port and block all of the others so no one would know what port it uses.

Fuck off, even if somebody fails to protect themselves properly it doesn't give ANYONE the right to attack somebody else's server.
