There was this big post about how racist people are ruining renegade and than icesowrd comes on and says something racist and everyone gets mad at him, but than ack comes and and says this

Everyone is racist in some form or another.
Why are you so intent against racism? That's like saying we shouldn't look at anyone. The human mind instantly categorizes everything it sees, because it recognizes patterns and remembers them. You see a group of oriental people and you'll remember a group of oriental people the next time you see a single oriental person. It's the way the mind works... It's a defense reaction in a sense. If you feel threatened e.g. by a group of black\white\whatever men walking down the street with lead clubs in their hands, you'll remember that group later when you see another of their kind.
To deny being racist is to deny being human. To deny being human is a lie.
Go ahead and live in denial... I'm a racist and I'm proud of it. I don't like Mexicans... boo fucking hoo. What're you going to do about it? I have the right to my opinions as much as you have the right to not like them... Take an injection of "Get The Fuck Over It" like you preach tolerance and let it go.
And no one seems to even care, the post just ends, i dont understand.

there is a difference between ack's idiotic beliefs(which he is welcome to) and outright insults against someone.
ack states that he is racist but does not go around saying things like "kill niggers" or "jews are evil" etc.
such statements are insulting to most of us on this board and are not welcome.
ack on the other hand simply states that he is racist while not insulting anyone personally.

sorry, ack. while i agree with much of your opinions on alot of things, i don't agree with your views on racism and i do consider them idiotic.
i'm sure you won't lose any sleep because of my remarks, just as i won't lose any sleep due to seeing your remarks regarding racism.

I think ack is half right. But "prejudice" would fit alot better there than "racist". Everyone is prejudice to others in some form or another. Prejudice means to judge something or someone too early, to pass judgement on someone without knowledge or knowing the facts, etc. Everyone here has done this at one point in their life. If you sterotype anyone, then you're being prejudice. For example: "He can't type, he must be stupid", "She's just a woman, she can't do anything a guy can do", etc.

Researchers from Princeton University and Dartmouth College found that white people with a high degree of racial basis experienced a decrease in "executive function" after spending time talking with black people. Their research appears in the May issue of Psychological Science.
Executive function is a key element of thought that involves the ability to fix attention on certain, high-level mental tasks.
The study included 59 white college students. They were given a test to assess the degree of racial bias in their thinking. The students then spent time talking with either a black or a white person and afterwards were given a test that measured their ability to concentrate on a challenging mental task.
The more racially biased the students were, the worse they did on the mental task after speaking with a black person. But racially biased students who spoke with a white person, even if they discussed racially sensitive issues, had no decline in mental function.
"When you have to control your behavior, it takes a lot of energy. And if you expend energy in a social interaction, then you don't have so much left over to do something else," researcher Nicole Shelton says in a news release..

I am proud of my experience in Venezuela because I took every day there as a chance to better myself and help tear down the racism that I encountered in California...where as you probably locked yourself in your room and cried yourself to sleep at night. You shall recieve no sympathy for being a racist little bitch. You have already proven youself to be nothing better than the local slut that needs to give her daily blow job to get praise and help her feel better about herself...but hey, you blow because you care...right?
