this is the right place, but i dont think its possible without a full-game hack which would take a long time-and dont ask me to do it.
(sorry if this post sounded a little offendive)
then again you could just modify the "always" files and make your own levels.

Well,
I searched for a new Renegade mission a while ago to,
result : 0,0
The only possibility is the make a co-op map, and host it in LAN and play with 1 player. Those maps there are, I, however know only 2 of those, mutants revenge and 1 I made...
Moding can be real Fun...

It is possible to make your own missions with xcc mixer, and level edit(the renegade level editor)
all you have to do it make some sort of mission, make sure it has a way to end it, then export it however you want. After that, use xcc mixer to extract a file called campaign.ini and edit the file, change the first mission from m01.mix to whatever your map is called.
If you do this it will replace the first mission with your mission!
Anyone with knowledge of level edit could do this, and anyone without could learn at renhelp.laeubi-soft.de/
