discuss.

Some of it is a little graphic so you are forewarned. It would be messed up if the iranian children really do watch this stuff.

Screaming for genocide against persians does not constitute to a valuable discussion Sarcasm

What the fuck.

What. The. Fuck.

No, seriously. I don't think I can say it with enough emphasis: What the fuck?!

A cartoon that promotes war is simply ... dude ... I don't have any words to describe.

Edit:
That's one video that should be downloaded, not because it's good, but because it's quite horrible. I wouldn't be surprised if it was removed from YouTube, even though it sheds some light into the middle eastern conflict.

They really don't want the children to get any idea that Isreal, one day, could be an ally, do they? I thought our propaganda was bad...

Why are any of you surprised? It's on IRANIAN TELEVISION. Such bullshit should be EXPECTED of such a shitty-ass, third-world nation.

*GASP!* "They use propaganda to recruit soldiers to their military and terrorists to the organizations they support??? I thought they were playing by the same rules we are!"

Guess again, folks. Propaganda and public morale and support is a vital part of war. ANY war (for some reason, they recognize this while we don't). Their country suppresses ANY opposition to their war against "the zionists" and America. Anyone who tries dissenting with the government is soon arrested, tortured, and killed for committing treason and "crimes against Allah."
Not only do they have the subconcious fear of the government coming to bust their door down and snatch them away in the middle of the night, but they've been conditioned by shows like this since birth to physically hate "the zionists" and any other "enemies of the state."

It wouldn't matter WHAT either Israel, America, the UN, or ANYONE does. Thanks to this constant conditioning and strict propaganda, the majority of the country's population is going to seethingly hate Israel and its allies (primarily America).

And for some reason, a number of you on this very forum belive we can simply "negotiate" and "reason" with these bloodthirsty people. For some reason, you seem to think they've all had access to the same amount of "unbiased" information that you have and took the same steps to reach the same conclusion that "America, specifically George Bush, and Israel are the roots of all that is evil."

NEWSFLASH: THEY'VE GROWN UP WITH PROPAGANDA LIKE THIS SINCE CHILDBIRTH; THEIR OPINIONS ARE FAR FROM INFORMED, YET THEY WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO CHANGE WHAT HAS BEEN HARDWIRED INTO THEIR BEING SINCE THEY WERE INFANTS.

The United States could assume a completely isolationist role in terms of world politics; Israel could completely relocate to the Outback of Australia. It would not matter. The state-run media would still produce the same kind of propaganda to fuel hatred for us.

We do not make them hate us; their government makes them hate us.

Even if we comply with every one of their demands, their government will make stuff up to fuel their public's hatred for us.

I get so sick and tired of people blaming US for the perpetuation of conflict in the Middle East and think that if we simply give in to their aggressive actions, they'll want to sit around the campfire and sing "Koombaya" with us.
The moment we give in is the moment we sign our own death warrant.

We're in the middle of a war between clashing cultures--the West and the Middle East. I don't think I have to explain the differences between both since those are quite obvious; what we have to determine for ourselves is which culture we would like to see come out on top. Do we want a culture that respects the basic rights of every human being; allows information to flow freely from one person to another; and permits individual choice about religion, government, etc.? Or do we want a culture that sacrifices personal rights for the good of the many; restricts to what information people have access; and only gives people one choice in terms of religion, government, etc.?

They're ready to fight, folks. We're both in the game, whether we like it or not; we're both fighting the war. Isn't it about time we stopped dilly-dallying around with an enemy that has been poised to strike for decades now?

(Note: This rant was written at no one in particular in this thread, but rather was a response to so many arguments seen and heard in the past (some by forum member, but many from outside this place) that people tried to use against the United States in regards to the war in Iraq, War on Terror, and so many other topics.

It is now 2:49 AM, so this ending note probably couldn't have been worded much worse.)

I don't know if this is real or just a joke.

If it is real that is pretty fukd up.

For comments regarding the middle east just put in mind not all the middle east is like this. Countries like Lebanon are pretty pro western and and you can do pretty much whatever you want.

Don't think all middle eastern countries take your rights etc...

I don't mean any disrespect to the western culture but for ex in Lebanon we can smoke in restaurants, smoke in public, drink in public, drive without a license, we don't have to obey traffic lights, we don't pay tax, we can drive boats in the ocean without a permit or anything, there are no age restricted items in stores. I can go on pretty much forever but you get the point.

When i hear George Bush talking about the war in Lebanon and talking about the war between "Terror and Democracy" i am thinking wtf because we were able to do whatever we felt like over there without the government breathing down our necks.

I am not saying this government propoganda is right in Iran but it isn't to say it is without a reason. From what i know during the Iran/Iraq war America provided Iraq with weapons etc... to be used on the Iranian people.

I know America has it's own propoganda machine with CNN and FOX news as i remember when the conflict in Lebanon started there was a headline in CNN saying "HEZBOLLAH IN AMERICA!!" and i was thinking wtf.

When i read people's comments like Hydra, and Ironwarrior just wanting to kill people in the middle east it just makes me wonder what kind of media the US is subjected to.

I'm from the middle east, I'm from Lebanon and you don't see me spouting "Death to America" or "Death to Israel" everywhere i go but yet i see many Americans spouting "Death to the middle east".

I don't know how real this cartoon is as i haven't seen anything like it on television but if it is real that is really fukd up. It can't be very different than what we see here in the west if so many people just want to kill middle eastern people as the hate is fueled on both sides.

My point? Have any of you been to countries like Lebanon or anywhere in the middle east?

If no. Why, just why do you people comment about rights and whatnot?

I've lived in Lebanon pretty much all my life and i lived in Canada (which i'm going to assume has about the same level of rights in the US). In Canada i can't even have a discussion about the middle east without cops knocking at my door, how can we say we have more rights in the west than in the middle east?

Information aside, i do agree that these iranian cartoons are fukd up and whoever made them should just crawl in a hole and die but i do not agree with these ignorant comments that ALL people in the middle east have no rights.

Then you live in a very strange pseudo-Canada. No one would have the police just show up at their door for simply "talking about the middle east".

Ah, I was right.. it DID happen in a strange pseudo-Canada (Ontairo) Razz.

Even then, unless he was under suspicion and being watched (i.e. bugging, phone taps, etc.), or someone phoned the police stating that something serious was being discussed, no police would have shown up without a very good reason.

The "Hezbollah in America" was refuring to my neck of the woods. In michigan there is an town called Dearborn. It has a high Lebeneese population. There was some concern about the large ammount of support there for Hezbollah. That was about it..oh ya and the shooting in Washington at a Jewish building.
