Dave I run into the same problem myself. I've been trying to teach myself C++ for a long time and the hardest part is coming up with things to do with it. Get a Parametric EQ (or Graphic EQ if you dont know how to use parametric ones) and boost the lower frequencies. Don't forget, too much bass can destroy the cones, even though they look cool coming out half-a-meter it will destroy them depending on the amplifers wattage output.
