Ok, right now I'm looking into a notebook that is 'gameable' for when I go on trips and stuff like that. I'm not really sure what brand to get. So I'm asking for your suggestions. One catch it has to be around $3000 Canadian or roughly $2700 american or less.

		| DarkDemin wrote on Sat, 22 July 2006 22:00 | If you get a Laptop from CyberPower there is one thing you ABSOLUTELY must do. Request a LCD other than the one that normally comes with the MS-1039 laptops. They are pieces of shit, request a sony xbrite or something to replace it and if they give you a hard time tell them you don't care. It will be worth your time and money. I had to take my laptop to best buy to have them replace the POS LCD becuase it bothered me so much.
  | Thanks, I'll keep this in mind. The cyberpower site looks pretty promising.

Easily, I got my Fujitsu-Siemens with Pentium M740, 1024Mb or RAM and 6800 Go for 1900$ (1500€), and your prices are probably lower. You could get a very good system with 2700$

What I'm trying to do is save up money so I can get a Notebook that won't become obselite in a few years. I know my two desktops have become dated already.

That's your choice, but here's a warning: all systems become obsolete VERY fast. Even if you buy a high-end PC you'll end up upgrading it in a while, the whole business just moves so fast it's hard to keep yourself up-to-date....this is especially true with notebooks, since it's harder/impossible to upgrade old parts one at a time. All it takes is one innovative breakthrough in GPU/CPU/RAM industry, and you're left with old technology. I'm betting no matter how good laptop you buy, it's average at best in 2 years when it comes to gaming.
