Hello, i am posting on behalf of a friend.
He basically has a problem gaming online because he has 2 routers.
Games like diablo 2 and ravenshield along with somes others, i can only host, as if he hosts i cannot connect.
Games like all the Command & Conquers (except Renegade which works fine), dont even him let him connect to the online matching service (WOL). Whereas generals he cant connected to me when we try to play.
I believe this has to do with his 2 routers he has. I am at a loss of what to do, as is he. My other friends with 1 router, we can get them working.
Here is what he has:
Dynalink RTA100+ internet
Netgear WRT824 network
And he has it connected like this:
RTA 100 + is connected to the internet, netgear router is only being used as a hub, the RTA is NOT connected to the WAN port in the netgear router
it is connected to the normal computer ports.
The reason for that is because the netgear router only supports cable modem connections in the wan port.

this is driving me up the wall, not to mention he is already stuck up there :S
