They will rethink that, those are two very important features that they can't afford to charge $127.09 more for.
I highly doubt they can afford to charge $634.17 for just the base unit. We will just end up being screwed on the games end paying $70-$80 on games.

What do you mean 634 dollars? By $/Euros I meant that the 60GB was $600 in the U.S. and 600 Euros in Europe, same thing applies to the 20GB version.

Except that, as far as I know, it has been long-known that the PS3's controller will go back to the PSX's controller, but with a wireless option.
It doesn't change the fact that wireless sucks. There's nothing like your batteries dying in the middle of the game. There's nothing like your signal getting fucked up in the middle of the game.

That controller sucks.. can't they get a little more creative for once, and put a proper D-Pad, and a design that doesn't look like a friggen box?
They totally copied Nintendo's idea, but adding it to their style of controller will just make it worse. Who here plays with their controller 100% straight when holding it? I personally lie down when playing consoles, so I guess I wouldn't be able to do that with a PS3.
$600 is a rip off for a console. If you get insurance for it incase it breaks (which knowing Sony, it will be easy to mess up)and add the taxes, it'll end up being like $800. That's without any games...
And I'm tired of Sony's prerendered bullshit. Just look at this.
Anyone see a difference?

I see a difference, Namco made those images.. Not Sony. Get your facts straight and stop being an idiot. Knowing how Namco works, the "pre rendered" image is from a high quality video. They've done the same thing with Ace Combat 5.
Oh no, Namco showed off pre-rendered images as wallpaper! That means it won't look like that at all with the PS2!

Ill be getting the Wii, sony and microsoft just dont do it for me. To each his own, thats why they makes different products, to relate to different people.
I own a 360 DS PS2 and all the way down, the nintendo 64 is the only one that has earned its value so far imo. The DS's Metroid Prime game is very good, but we will see if the console will continue with quality.
My 360, i hate. I hate it to the core. Oh great, PD:Zero, ive waited years for this...boot up...10 minutes of play...Crash!
If others dont have this problem, great and if they love the 360, even better.
My PS2 is a dust collector, im just not into the anime/japanese exaggerated swords and physics. There are millions of people that are, so there you go.
I have to say that so far nintendo hasnt let me down on a product. I even love the virtual boy. It all relative and everyone will bash the others. At the end of the day, im just wanting to grab that Wii Remote and play some zelda or mario kart.

The PS3 is not a $500 machine. Sony is releasing a hugely dumbed down version for $500. Their hope is really that you'll think "Well, I could give $500 and get a half-assed PS3, but for a $100 more..." and you'll end up paying the extra. The $500 version is a joke.
Of course, it won't stop there. I'm sure you all remember what happened when the PS2 came out. About 100 would ship every month and people would give double, or triple the price, simply because "They have to have one". I won't be at all surprised if people start selling $1000+ PS3s on Ebay the day they start shipping.
Bottom line: Sony is selling a $600+ machine. I don't know about you guys, but that's too rich for me.

Almost exactly same thing could be said about Xbox.

You know, I found out the other day that 2 people I used to go to school with, sold their runescape accounts.
Yes, doesn't sound weird, many people do it. Only thing is, one sold his account for £800, and the other sold his for £900.
No self-respecting person would EVER, EVER spend £800 on an account for a peice of crap game like Runescape never mind any game account full stop.

Oh I remember, my friend's dad got 3 ps2's. He sold one for $900 and one for $1500 CDN.
