Your Operating System can be checked by right-clicking on "My Computer" and selecting "Properties", and going to the "General" tab (which should come up by default). I'm not sure about other operating systems (eg, Windows 9x, Windows 2000, etc), but for Windows XP, your processor type, speed, and amount of RAM is also listed there.
"Video card" and "graphics card" generally means the exact same thing, by the way. To check it under Windows XP, right-click on "My Computer", select "Properties", select the "Hardware" tab, and click on the "Device Manager" button. From there, you should see a number of things. Click on the "View" menu, and select "Devices by type". Then, in the list below, look for an item named "Display adapters" (it should be near the top, it appears that the list is sorted alphabetically), and click on the 'x' box to the left of it to expand it. Your GPU (graphics card / video card / whatever you want to call it) type(s) will be listed below it. For example, I have a "RADEON X800 Series", as well as a "RADEON X800 Series - Secondary", since my GPU can handle two monitors at once.
In any case, assuming that your laptop is indeed new (rather than new for you, but it was sold as used), then it most likely can handle Renegade and Red Alert 2.

Post the rest of the specs..? Maybe a link to the model number..
usally with a new laptop you get a manual which describes whats inside of it.
Also It looks like you have a onboard gfx card which in this case. Won't have any problems Red Alert 2 or Renegade but don't expect anything special in Renegade especialy not with a huge amount of players.

This site is great for installing and playing Renegade. However, you are dealing with software issues that need special attention. (I think)

If you click Run on your start menu and type dxdiag then it will come up with stuff on everything in your computer all the specs. You can also save them and paste in a notepad to show people. I find this to be the fastest way to find all the specs. But in your case it seems like RA2 cd is messed up.
