Graphics card or virus? [message #195072]

Well recently my PC got a few virus and such when i visited a site and something automaticly downloaded into my harddrive.I found it and got rid of it but now when ever i play ren my FPS is around 5-15 before it was around 25-35. I even reinstalled ren and i still got the problem. I was wondering if its my graphics card thats screwed up or my PC just has more virues that i cant find Sad

Probably the latter. Do a virus check with up to date definitions IN SAFE MODE and do a spyware check (for exemple www.spybot.info).

I have done that, I even called my brother who pretty much maintains our PC's. I think theres still one more or so just he proboly didnt tell me Sad

But why does it onlyy do to renegade? I mena the PC doesnt lag, renegade and only renegade does (fps 1-10)

It might help to know what was downloaded.

Are you willing to confess to what site you wre viewing and which browser? (If your using IE your asking for trouble)

I was looking for a serial for MIRC. Im not sure if the main page dled it or if i clicked on a page. i dont remember
And i use sbc global (idk if thats what u mean)

I did go with "full rubber" or so i thought. What was downloaded was a anti virus program Big Grin
