Right, so what is you preferred method of revenge if a team m8 insults you and calls you a n00b
do you
a) show him that you can really be a n00b
b) ignore him
c) tell him to Stfu
or d) do both A and C

If they're on the enemy team, be sure to kill them.
If they're on your team, do something to annoy them, like plant remotes on their vehicle, and when they get out to repair, boom!

...showing the huge point/kill gap between me and him/her. Go on a "road rage" and whenever he/she is on the other team proceed to kill him/her every chance you get until he/she has left. (this includes spawn killing, running them over with an apc even if they throw c4 on it(for the sake of running them over), and misc. other ways to deal with them.)
as for acting stupid. I do it all the time but not really because of that. Half the time I end up doing better even when using humvees/buggies all game. Though when i really want to start doing damage, i'll buy a tib sydney and start shooting the obelisk on Hourglass.

See, that's being an ass to your whole team, even if it is just to spite some n00b. By all means, screw with the n00b's head, bump them off a cliff with your vehicle, whatever fits the situation (provided that said noob is doing something that is a hinderance to your team)...but don't give vehicles to the other team to piss off a n00b on yours. That makes you equally n00bish and just as deserving of a good banning.
*edit* Oh, and as far as long words go: defenestration. It SO does not mean what most people think it does.

Just keep talking to them until they get annoyed and then play really well and generally people start sucking up. Or if the situation is right and you're Nod, he's GDI, get a SBH and c4 him while he's typing.

In this case, I'd probably be the one calling you a n00b. if you did give away a mammoth afterwards again I'd think you were probably just being yourself (ie a n00b) and it would probably not affect me the slightest, especially a mammoth tank, since it really isn't all that useful for general purposes. It's probably even less of a deal since you already gave one before when it could have been avoided.
