well i was reinstalling my renegade and this is what I got.....this came up right as it was starting to install and wouldnt go away, the game disc is in there and it was since the beginning of the installation

Your cd must be so scratched that the drive cannot read it anymore.

You can:
1. buy a new renegade, it should cost you max 5 €/$
2. send it back to EA with 5 € in the enveloppe and they'll send you a new pack. You'll have to wait more or less 3-4 weeks though.
