Hi, when I try to start up ren, it now takes me to the Renegade config screen, and no matter what I do I can't get the game to launch.
Anyone have any suggestions?

What I did is rename WWConfig.exe to "WWConfig .exe" (eg, added a space). You can still manually launch it if you ever need/want to change any settings, but it will never automatically launch. If Renegade ever truly needs you to configure something, it might bomb out though, though I've never had that happen myself.

Did you change hardware recently? or installed a new video driver?
Any big software changes?
If Ren won't launch at all and the config screen pops-up this usally means that a change has been made.

Sometimes I get that too, that the config screen pops-up and I haven't changed a thing. Then I press OK and Renegade launches...

Every so often, I get this positive feeling that humanity can somehow, possibly attain pure awesomeness, and enlightenment, and that there is light at the end of the road for us all. However, I only need to go to the latest HUD thread at RenForums to remind me of how dumb I was for thinking such stupid things.
