it says that i have corrupt files and that i have to download these 2 things and extract them to the renegade/data directory before i can get the core patch 2.
i downloaded the 2 files now and have no clue what to extract them to, cuz just about everything ive tried so far says access is denied.
try to put it into "dumb people" words for me cuz im not good with computers i just like to play on them.

i keep trying to re download it and still nothing is changing.
"Click on those download links, unzip the files and put their contents in your renegade/data directory"
where do i find the renegade data directory? i thought i saw it and i keep trying to put the files there but it keeps saying access is denied or somethin crazy like that.
some1 help me

Probably C:\Westwood\Renegade\Data, but it depends on where you chose to install it, which is probably why nobody answered you. One way of finding out the location of your renegade directory is to right click your renegade shortcut and select "properties"...it should show the path there.
P.S. It usually takes people longer than SEVEN MINUTES to reply to a forum post
