Whenever i install renguard i cant open renegade. [message #187133]

Recruit

I keep getting a message that says Error: loader can't initialize service. I cant even get in a gamespy server. So i have to uninstall renguard to play. Help.

Thats a new one (error). Rather than try to figure it out, I suggest waiting (short time) for the upcoming new version of RG.

It's not really a new problem, but it is a rather rare problem now. I know of two causes, only one of which I will address (the other is related to your system permissions, of which I'm unfamiliar with setting up). If you are not using Norton AntiVirus, then let me know. Otherwise, try to follow the instructions here:

I tried doing that alternate solution, but when i got to the step that said, On the left, click on "Threat Categories". I couldnt find that on Norton Antivirus. My norton antivirus is an older version (2003). That could be why or else i may have completely missed it. I used to have renguard and it worked fine, but i wouldnt know the first thing about cheating. I also have Core Patch 1.
