This is funny. "We" don't care? Who "we"?
You can't possibly speak for "all other countries" and the billions of people in them. And neither should he lay stereotypias like that. The fact is that people are very similiar in all the damn countries on this planet. They want same things when you look at the greater goals. You can't separate them by their thoughts and what they want, because it's not possible. Some people like death penalty in US, some don't. Same with 100% of the countries. Just like with all other things.
It's a very normal thing to compare 500 million people to another 500 million of people and spit out "patriotic" conclusions, it's just human. But it's stupid. People who want death penalty haven't magically grouped up in a single country, for example. People who support a war x haven't grouped up either. You get the point.
It's the main problem nowadays, really. People judge foreigners by the actions and statements of their governments and from the news they hear from them. It's not entirely a bad thing, though, but I'm not going into that.
Yeah, really off-topic, sorry about that.

I actually just went on the statement "All non-American countries want to kill us" or something like that. So yes, i generalised my answer in reply of a bigger generalised answer. Makes sense?
