I generally don't buy games based on what reviews -- either by people, or by magazines -- happen to say. If the game doesn't have a demo of some sort, I might not bother with it until much, much later.(Return to Castle Wolfenstein, WarCraft III(at the time, there was no demo)...) Or, in some rare cases where I can't get a demo to run, I might see if a friend has a copy, or ask someone's opinion.(Not the same as a review!)
