Does anyone know where I can get the skin that removes the green tint from the sniper rifle's scope? I remember seeing it once, so I know it's real, any help would be nice, thanks

It is very much cheating. I played on a non-laddered server with the skin that removes all the black and stuff and I got so many kills. Sniping was SO much easier. There is no way this can't be cheating. You can zoom in closer and still track someone, not to mention it's a bit easier to see without the green.

i would say this is legal yes i use it..but what about those people who have the highlited skins?...there even worse...this is just petty compared to them

and btw did anyone find this cuz i re installed Renegade and didnt save the file :oops:

Try sniping on Winter_Conquest with that thing. You can't see anything at all. I personally dislike the scope very much, because all it does is restrain my skills. I don't think a game should hold you back, personally.

Completely agree.

Renegade's shabby attempt at a 'night vision scope' is purely as if a kid put a thin of green plastic over the lens like you'd see in your car windscreen. It's completely ineffective, and doesn't benefit you in Renegade at all.

deal with the scope. no self respecting sniper would use that skin...they'd want to be equals. it should be gotten rid of...as well as the effects for stealths (ie the bright orange one) and skins to make c4 and other things easier to see. They are the way they are in the game for a reason.

oh hell I'll just stick to America's Army: Operations if I want a scope that isnt green tinted. by the way, I tried all of the ones people posted on this thread. They are terrible, plain and simple. Seeing as there is no good replacement, I have decided to remain with the original scope, but with a new recticle skin (not gonna get pissed at me for that too are ya?)

I imagine the green tint also makes it harder for them to spot stealths. The mono tone makes it harder to see the white lines moving up and down. I also agree it would be gaining an unfair adavantage.

Ever try using the mitrix skin conversion and sniphing? It gets real hard to spot the soilders on the green terrain. That is part of the reason I removed it. That and you need your texture setting maxed to even see the skins properly.
