you can always directly connect to a server using an IRC script or you can also use a simple command on your start menu.

start menu > run > "C:\Westwood\Renegade\game.exe" +connect **.ip.here.** $+ : $+ PORT +netplayername " $+ nickname $+"

[Replace **.ip.here.** with the actual server i.p]
[Replace PORT with the port number of the server]
[Replace nickname with your choosen name to play under]

I'm sure there is a simpler version out there but mine works for me so ner! Tell Me
