TEKNIK wrote on Sat, 22 October 2005 19:05 | The concept of going backward in time was hypothosised by the proposal of traveling faster than the speed of light. However, due to the laws of particle phisics, when an atom accelarates past the speed of light, its mass energy increases to that of the size of the universe. One atom can take up the entire Universe. With that said, it has also been discovered that the Universe at one point was much smaller than today, so small infact that it was smaller than the size of a single atom.
Wow, i love Physics, glad i took it at A level.
Also this makes me think about traveling further through time. Would it mean that you have to go in some way, slower than time itself?

Isn't it that you can't travel at the speed of light, but you can travel faster than the speed of light? At c your mass becomes infinite, and you would need an infinite amount of energy to move. But this is not true when you exceed the speed of light.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, it's been well over a year since I've been in physics...

Yea I changed my mind on what I said, without the nazi's or some of hitlers hencemen/technician there wouldn't have been none space travel, maybe non atomic bomb. If he wouldn't have existed ofcourse there's so many people that have died. But war increases the speed of technolegy being introduced and produced.
Just saying if that would of hapend history would have changed so fucking drasticly. I just said it because of ra1
Really, I'm happy the way it is now there's certain times in my life I dislike and would want to scrap. But im still young and I have experienced many thing's and I've seen alot of things people of my age normally wouldn't.

you really dont get what a paradox is do you?
If you killed Hitler, you yourself MAY NOT EXSIST today....yes some races and families were brought together because of WWII, but one thing that accompanied BOTH great wars was: A BABY BOOM...people rushed things and eloped because there was a fear that it would all be over tomorrow. So in killing Hitler YOU YOURSELF may not be created afterwards.
To better explain this: You create a time machine, go back in time and kill your own grandfather...so no parent to spawn you, so no you, so no time machine was made, so your grandfather didnt die, you were born, made the time machine, killed your grandfather, no parent, no you, no time machine....It goes on....that is a paradox!
You have a God given right to be stupid. Please do not abuse this right!

If I got to do that, we'd all be speaking Russian now... Or at least all have a hammer and a sickle on our flags...
Nah, just kidding: communism was good (but executed incorrectly) but as usual it cannot lead to a great bunch of welfare so I think most people (including me) wouldn't have liked it so much.
The google-idea seems logical to me... Makes me think of that movie I once saw.
