I'm designing a Universal Control Panel to be sold by my company. Its a control panel like CPanel but it works for pretty much anything web related. In order to sell different products to your clients you can simply install a new module on the control panel.

One of the first expansion modules I wanted to create was one for Renegade. Before I go through the work of creating the module and the installer I'm wondering. Is anyone still selling renegade servers? Is anyone thats selling these servers interested in a program that allows them to watch their users and restrict access? I know this is all can be done simply by FTP but what I'm creating is a safer way thats also kinda "dummy proof".

Whats your opinion?

The system I'm designing limits users so you can limit what to give them and how to charge them.

For example. If you wanted to charge extra for them to be able to use a on server bot then you would simply add it to their account. They would automatically get billed for it and they would be able to choose one out of like 5 bots to use. Its a way to make money off the people who want a server but don't want to do all the confusing setup stuff.

Nightma I know you sell ren servers but who are the others?

Something like this has been done before:

Also if you are going to charge people money to use regulator bots, you better consult with thier authors first. Many of these items under GPL will not allow you to make a profit of thier work.

Perhaps you can make a deal with them and pay them to use thier bots commercially.

To be honest, I have a problem with someone selling my software I have worked years on.. if you do sell brenbot, the least you can do is a (monthly) donation to Blackhand Studios

Of course permission will be requested and royalties will be returned to the proper owner.

This is why I am asking here. Its a lot of work making a module so I want to see if it would be worth my time.
