My best guess would be, much like "'Net Speak" itself, someone took "rofl" to be prounounced as "roffle" then figured out that that rhymed with "waffle," and henceforth came up with the saying "roffle my waffle". The saying caught on and spread like wildfire.

You to? I swear those people are fucking ignorant! Almost every single Oddball server i go into, they act like its a damn Slayer match! Whats more, when i go into a Stunts server to let my Adrenaline build back up for my CTF matches, people come in and start killing everybody! Hell, there was one time, i was in a server that was stunts, and people came in to fight. Eventually i had enough of it, and started fighting back. I got banned from that server, lol.

Truly, I am surrounded by kindred spirits. So very happy. . . T_T And yeah. I went as far as to write up a brief story about such things on n00bstories. In more detail, though. . . The guy I mentioned, "Firefox"? He came into the Race server, started blasting everyone not on his team, then eventually left with a "this server sucks". I honestly get the feeling he didn't understand the concept of "Race". Even though it was right there, in blue lettering, on the Server List.

Is there a quickmatch option, if so maybe he used that and went to get a biscuit or something while it was connecting.
