I have a nice ATI card, runs well for the most part, but for big 40 + player games in action gets a lil bit choppy, and I know theres a way to make that poart perfectly smooth. I go into my gfx otions, and everything is set down to the lowest, yet my grpahics look the best detail. Is there a way I could lwer the detail a notch or two with it working?

How could there be a problem if you want to lower your settings? Are the settings not being applied? You have to click "apply" when you finish with the settings you know.

Run the Renegade Config Utility in your startmenu.

Set Resolution to 800x600 with 16bit colordepth or even 640x480.

Click the "Performance" tab and select "Expert Mode" then move
all the sliders to the left (low quality).

Select "Vertex" as lighting mode and "Bilinear" as Texture Filter.

The best thing to do is expectiment until you get a good balance between graphic detail and lag on your computer.

I am lucky because I can play with full gfx and still only have ping around 100 - 200

I was just stating how so many people in these forums still stick with over 5 year old computers with like a 32mb video card.
