Yeah, hydra, I almost decided to respond to you.... but then I thought better of it.

So you know, you used to actually be worthwhile to talk to, with genuine political ideas and... not as many slanders. But I'm afraid you went off your cranky old man pills. Come back once you've found them again.

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." -- Theodore Roosevelt (1918)

Given the difficulty of defining the domestic security interest, the danger of abuse in acting to protect that interest becomes apparent. --U.S. Supreme Court decision (407 U.S. 297 (1972)

What the hell, do you ever read what you type? I mean seriously, I'm no one to comment on spelling before the spell check, but your sentences sound like you just graduated from 2nd grade.

8 Mile a cult classic ? 8 Mile is a classic piece of garbage and classic showing that America is going down the hill because of Rap Music, just look at how many kids even wanted to learn about some disgrace of a human being like Marshal Mather's.

Are you going to attack him endlessly or- gee I don't know- actually contribute something important to the flow of the thread?

I'll stop once he starts demonstrating that he has the ability to think for himself and stops spewing bullshit like "Rich people screw over the poor!"

Check my post previous to the one you're referring to--is that not "contributing something important to the flow of the thread"?
Besides, when has the Tool EVER "contributed something important to the flow of the thread" that wasn't just another reycled argument he found on democraticunderground.com?

So you know, I've literally read democraticunderground.com once, and that was to spite Aurora.

I've always found it a bit ironic that people always accuse those who take a different view point than their own as being "unable to think for themselves."

A different view from mine? no. But when ALL of your views follow that of a political party you it becomes plain obvious you don't think for yourself. I consider myself conservative but I don't agree with everything Republicans do. For instance: I don't like the Bush Administration's policy on Illegal Immigrants. Instead of letting them all in we should have more security along the American Mexican Border, like a god damn electric fence that goes 15 foot high and 10 foot deep.

I wasn't talking about Engi specifically, in fact I've seen him say it as well.

And, gbull, if what you say is true, a number of the conservatives on this forum, as well as the liberal(s?) would incapable of thinking for themselves.

Just so I know do american's see Liberalism as kind of the same as Communism? Because I've notices the "Republicans" use it in the same kind of tone I use Communism, ie scum.

Aircraftkiller

That's irrelevant to this thread.

Common fallacies of logic and rhetoric:
Ad hominem - attacking the arguer and not the argument.

Well, Republicans, namely the smear tactic kind, like to make believe a lot, specifically, make believe into thinking that liberalism is bad and awful and endorses baby eating and is led by Osama, etc. etc. To answer your question, no, only a few do.

It's how much their after-tax income changed, Doitle. Namely, the rich make twice as much now as they did back in the day, and the poor make like 10% more. Not sure whether it's adjusted for inflation, though.

Uh-huh, so everyone is making more money... and you see that as a bad thing?
Excuse me, how are rich people screwing the poor again?
Oh, right, because all rich people achieved their positions in life because of the poor people they stepped on to get there, right?

EDIT: What the hell does the rich screwing the poor have to do with the political cartoon, anyway?

Actually most Conservatives in this forum think for themselves. Take j_ball430 for example, just look at his sig and you can obviously see he doesnt follow Republicans blindly.

As much as I would like to agree that conservatives are smarter, nicer, more attractive, and smell better than their liberal counter parts...

"Doitle"

Again you are straying far from Conservative mantra.

Before you all get mad at me here I'm not entirely serious. But until one begins to form one's opinions completely independently of any input from the outside world, it would seem unreasonable to say someone cannot think for themselves because they see things differently.

Because the richest of the rich are taking all the new money in the country. There was a better chart in the Times, but that was about a month ago and I don't have the copy anymore.

So far, you've recycled the same statement four times in this thread alone; you keep saying WHAT the "rich" are doing to "screw over" the "poor," but you never explain HOW they are doing it.

C'mon, Tool, I really want to see your explanation of how rich people screw over poor people.

EDIT: Let's continue this discussion here.
