Help me out dudes -I'm the band's "webmaster" now. I have never worked with HTML so I'm clueless as to what I'm doing, but I'm learning. This site is "in progress" & I recently gave it a facelift.

Well, as Vitaminous (he's actually good at web design, other than that... meh) and I agreed upon last time, you have too little content space. If you're going to have 3 columns, my suggestion is to widen the width of the site, either that or go to 2 columns and shorten the width of the navigation. The text is too big and it makes that column bigger than it needs to be. I'm on 1280 x 1024 and I can read it just fine, so you can definetely shrink it. Also, if you haven't already noticed, your rollovers don't work like they should. You still have your old rollover images uploaded.

Yeah j' - I just started this two nights ago & haven't had time to remake all of the button rollovers (all of the photos, images & gifs are my work). My problem is that I'm trying to work with the raw HTML code without the help of HTML editing software. A friend is going to try to hook me up with some software, so I don't have to do so much head scratching. Then I can work with the 'real estate' & resize and move things around. Right now, I'm just re-doing the 'look' of the site - Am I on the right track?

pfft, i'm starting to learn to code, so i'm using araneae, which is a free program. It isn't, however, a program like frontpage or dreamweaver.

My perspective is this... clarity. I see all kinds of stuff but the focal point is lost somewhat. The monochromatic palette hurts a bit but I feel that it might be the band's colors? Anyway... it lacks a cohesive flow. Clean and clear menus are a major place to start. Easy navigation is the heart of a truly good design for a site. You can still pull off lots of flashy stuff but the base must be clear.

Now that I've thrown out ambiguous points go from there! Big Grin

Yea, thats what I was trying to say about the graphics. The banner seemed to give the message "look at my awesome design", not so much "Hey, this is challenge theory, you like?" but no no I like the banner now sicko.

Me either, and the buttons need work because the image quality is somewaht blurry www.good-tutorials.com can show you how to do some good web-quality work. I see you went with a more pure HTML than a template with a Sliced Template. Which probably works pretty well for a starter website. Perhaps in the future you can get the hang of using photoshop to create sliced templates for your design. Nice work for going in blind though.

Nah, i don't like music ion background of websites. It just never sounds right and it suddenly restart if u go to a new section or it ends too promptly or it takes ages to lad... Nah, no music in background.

And yes: Flash is freaking difficult to get really good at. The basics are quite ok but you'll need hell loads of time and tutorials to make something really nice!

First you do the tutorials in the help files. They will start you off. if you don't have them I might be able to mail them.
