To answer pothead's question, YES, the Iraqis ARE fighting alongside us. You probably don't pay attention, but you'll hear "an Iraqi fighter did this", "an Iraqi fighter did that".
http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/meast/06/12/iraq.main/index.ht ml -- Describes something Iraqi police found
Further quotes from the article:
# Insurgents attacked a minibus carrying Iraqi construction workers Saturday, killing 10 people and wounding three. Gunmen riding in two cars opened fire on the vehicle as it traveled between Latifiya and Yusufiya in Babil province, south of Baghdad.See, they're helping to rebuild!
# A suicide bomber dressed as a police commando blew himself up Saturday in a group of Iraqi police Wolf Brigade commandos who had gathered for roll call, Iraqi police said. The blast killed three police commandos and wounded 17 others, police said. Oh look, they have Commandos
I'm the bawss.

:biggrin:pothead, thats cute.
But you didn't answer the questions,All you did was proving that the Iraqis can't fight for themself.
Do you think its possible to kill all the insurgents and the people who follow saddam's reign.

You're right, they can't fight for themselves yet. That's why we're still helping them. You know you just contradicted yourself? I
proved that the Iraqis ARE doing the fighting
Quote: | Why can't the Iraqis fight for their own freedom now? saddam gone.
|
This is what you asked. I answered it and proved that they are helping us and being trained by us to defend themselves. I'm not sure where you're going with this because you are acknowledging that they can't yet fight for themselves, and yet you don't want us to help them.
Quote: | Is it me or do it just look like our troops the only ones fighting for the Iraqis freedom? answer that!
|
OK, so I proved that wrong and you apparently agree that they ARE fighting with us for their freedom, but condemn them for not being able to do all the fighting for themselves. There's no pleasing you, is there?

LOL,I'm saying why are the U.S.A. troops the only ones over there. I know we got more nations in the world that believe the Iraqis should be free.
And as for the Iraqis , I realize they to damn stupid to fight for themself, only thing they good at is blowing themselfs up.

Javaxcx wrote on Mon, 13 June 2005 14:52 | I'm really not sure what you're trying to establish with this thread. First you don't want to lay down your life for your country because of a President who made a moral decision that you seem to share and/or agree with that was also necessary, but are not willing to help see it through yourself, to go further to insult the people of the nation who are supposedly too stupid to fight for themselves.
Are you braindead?

I never said I was with that war shit,I said I wouldn't fight for bush and I never agreed to nothing. only thing that come close is when I said they should be free.Fuck everything else in the world and tend to the Iraqis freedom huh?
Is the Iraqis freedom worth more than your life?

So does that means that their contributions and sacrifices aren't as important?

I never said that you said anything. I said you seem to give off that impression, and you've just gone and agreed to that with that semi-coherent gumble of words.
The question as to "why Iraq" doesn't really hold much water, seeing how you have to start somewhere no matter how you want to go about dealing with malevolent dictators. If it were Iran, there is a likelihood that you would say "why Iran", and so on.
As for the question of giving up my life for another? Jesus said that there is no greater love than to give up your life for another. I tend to think under the WWJD mentality as much as I can, so I think that is a distinct possibility.
|
you right,I'm speechless but the part about giving your life for another, only family would I give my life.
If you wanna say dying in that war was giving your life for another.I can't, I'd wait until they brought the war to the usa.I know the fight would be worth my life then.

I never said that. Just because I don't give them credit (which I should do) doesn't mean that I don't think their contributions aren't important.
|
Ok. It just seemed you were dismissing the contributions of members of my family and my friends, as well as hundreds of my countrymen, have made to the war effort.
