You better not be the one who likes popcycles, because if you are then once I'm done with this forum, I'll continue with you, spoonyrat.

Spoony had at least 2 motives and definitely the capacity. (He openly admits in the server owner's forum that he has a botnet)

What would a botnet have to do with an exploit in a broken version of phpBB? Hell, I'll admit in the non-server owners forum that I have one.

Because part of the attack today was carried out by distributed code to bots. It's clever, of course, because it makes it difficult to pin down one attacker by IP. There also seems to be some sort of relationship to a soon-to-be-shut-down website that was hosting a password stealing script that many of you may have fallen victim to.

Blazer and I are still going through all the data: but a few things are clear.

1) The person who did this has a modicum of talent (not "smart" but smarter than most script kiddies)
2) The attack's effects were NOT worth the effort obviously put into the attack considering I was able to fix everything within a few minutes of actual work.

We are pretty sure several passwords were stolen, but they are MD5 hashes which will hace to be bruteforced to see in plain text, but can currently be used to log in as any user whose password was stolen. In fact, the attacker (who I'm 99.9% sure is Spoony or was ordered by him) is possibly already posting under other people's accounts.

I'm the bawss.

Is that why xptek posted on Spoony's accord earlier in this thread? Or are they the same people and everyone knows it except me?

I'm glad you're smart enough to see that I was joking as well, JS. I'm also astonished to see you calling me dumb when you look like an idiot next to me. You're definitely one of the biggest dumbasses I've met on Renegade, let alone being one of this community's worst player. You're such a pain in the ass, first you start shit because one of our members cheated in some public server-- who hasn't? Then you start talking shit about LoD, and say that you'd rape us in a clan war-- we beat you 3v5 with Complex NOD. Just keep talking your shit that you can't back up you stupid newb. It's not like it'll make a difference, I'll still own you at Renegade, and you'll still be a lot less smarter than I am.

do you really want to talk about who is smart...

Quote:

your little statement right there proves how "smart" you really are. Plus no one here except you is running around claiming to have hacked crimsons forums. and as for your clan memeber that supposedly didnt cheat...your little friend s2luga admitted to cheating in a public server....and I believe your clans response was fuck public servers they are all shit anyways. So with that aspect in mind...maybe all server owners should just ban your little clan...or wait...yeah LoD split up. Maybe they should all just ban your retarded ass from the servers.

You definitely are a dumbass. Before you jump to conclusions about ANYTHING, get someone to check the IPs, then talk your shit.

Do you guys really think that Spoony did this? He might be pretty gay sometimes, but he'd never fuck up this forum seeing as he cares a lot about the community, the game, fairplay etc. He's also not an idiot, he wouldn't have fucked up these forums seeing as it is obvious that you can backup the database whenever you feel like it. Before you idiots call anyone anything, take a damn good look at the mirror and think again.

Most of you are some ignorant fucks that think they're the shit at this game or whatever because they have support from a bunch of other idiots who also don't have a clue they're idiots. Honestly, just because Crimson hosts 27 servers, spends all her time finding glitches and moderating a forum you can't all act like she's god or something. Others do things similar to her doings. She's nothing really, just some stupid bitch looking for the attention she couldn't get in real life. Don't believe her just because she's the admin, look at the evidence. Most of you just make posts with statements that can't be backed up and get support from all your other friends, and because Crimson OK's it you think you're right. Crimson's an idiot in most cases. I've never had a problem with the bitch but I know it, I've heard of it. You guys are so stupid, stop following her every move, be your own person. It's obvious that Crimson is just jumping to conclusions, and it's obvious that you believe everything she says. If you guys really weren't stupid, you'd see that.
