	| I'm wanting to upgrade to XP soon, but which version is better for someone who only ueses their computer to play games & RenX with, Home or Pro? Although either one would be better than the hunk of junk called ME thats running now  ! Me and ME don't get along good much anymore... |

	| Get XP Pro. Home requiers a stupid 30 day activation key thing. If you don't activate it within 30 days, it will... "turn it off". Pro is better because it dosen't need the activation thing, because it was made to be installed on multiple computers. And you get more features.

If you have a legal copy of XP then why would it be stupid?

I've installed it many times and even though you get the message 'Product has already been registered on another computer' I've bypassed it by pretty much rebooting and trying to register again. (can't remember exactly what I did but it wasn't hard)

As for the question, yes XP is good for gaming (I have XP Home and it works great)

	| It really depends on what kind of user you are...
Like to tweak everything and have complete control over almost everything on your computer? Get Professional...

Don't care about all that tweaking and just want the damn thing to work when you need it to? Get Home...

	| XP Home is a limited version of XP pro. Both retail versions have activation.

The major differences between home and pro is:
 Better security (NTFS)
 Better network support
Better support for windows 2k and co
 Better for the power user
THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE IN MEMORY MANAGEMENT BETWEEEN XP HOME AND XP PRO

I would NOT suggest XP home, its limited. Personally, go for XP pro CORP edition - it doesn't require activation but you either need a 'downloaded' or a offical copy (they don't selll it retail) - I got my copy from work....
