I respect the Reborn team. They, like one other team, have actually implemented new vehicles, structures, and infantry that look almost Westwood quality.

Then again, one could say the same for A Path Beyond or RenAlert...
I personally wasnt a fan of RenAlert, because the Gameplay didnt really appeal to me too well when I played it, and of course, some of the Dev team arent on my favourites list...
I dont plan on playing A Path Beyond either, since I probably wont get Battlefield 2.
I did enjoy playing the first beta of Reborn, although the bugs were annoying. The General gameplay was good, even though there were big balance issues and map bugs/exploits. I do look forward to the next beta, and I hope the team manage to do well with the gameplay, as I think that its not just how the units look, its mostly the gameplay since thats the biggest part of the game, in my opinion.

For one who just wants to play the game, that's fine. For one who has a future career in the business, it's not.
Both mods don't have high scores when it comes to interacting with/in the public. I have never played either of the two mods, or any modification made for this game at that. I only judge my decisions on what I do see, and what I do see is bad. Bad, bad, bad.
When I see topics like this, I wonder. When I see the other parties chime in with the same behavior, I wonder more. I wonder where this is all going - probably right down the toilet.

If it were up to me, I'd rather we not have a public image at all. I'd rather have a finished product first. A few screenshots here and there, and the occasional heads up is fine, but I will never go along the paths of other modifications where every single new item or alteration to said item is broadcast simultaneously to its completion or stepping-stone acquisition. Quite frankly, I hate having to deal with the public - it's just one more thing to constantly monitor and worry about. Having 100% of my attention focused to what is most important - the game itself - seems far more practical than wondering if Joe Smith likes my new model or texture. That's just poorly-managed timed.
Like I said, I never tried any modification - I have only seen what they have shown me in such places as this. And from what they have shown me, I don't care too much for most of them. If they had not shown me anything, or even bothered acting the way they have here, I wouldn't have a negative opinion on them. Heck, I wouldn't even have an opinion on them, as I would probably not even know they exist. However, if they had come at me for the first time with a finished, or partially finished product, that not only looked and sounded appeasing, but also had high standards and high regards, I would have been blown out of the water. You bet I'd be downloading it and trying it right away. It may have had a chance, but it was blown the minute that said team publicly dehumanized one of the other modifications or acted in a similar piss-poor manner.
