I use RenGuard for Clan Matches and that is it. Half RG servers in my opinion are a waste. People can still cheat on them and as it has been pointed out; !forcerg is used on everyone who is good, as opposed to everyone who cheats. My clan server does not use RG and that is how we like it. As long as the moderators can tell the difference between cheating and skill you don't need RG. If you do catch someone cheating, ban them, who cares about making them use RG.

I can only recomend a german full RG server called "Renegade Community Server#1". Can be found via ASE. It also features a very good teamplay.

The biggest problem I see with Full RG is when either the RG servers or that @#$# SSC goes spastic and kicks all the players in the server that actually have RG. After one of these episodes the server remains empty for hours. I would probably run run a full RG server if this didn't happen.

People with slow comps probly do, but people with slow comps still now also use Norton and that kind of stuff wich realy brings down a comp.

The 1.3 Version of RG hardly brings down my fps. (Not noticable for sure)
And when the sfps = good myn fps is good too.

if the sfps is between 10 and 20. My pc will go down to that kind of fps too

I beg to differ. I've used "slow" computers for quite a while, and have only recently obtained a computer of any decent speed. During that time, I knew my computer inside and out and was able to optimize it for the best speeds possible. It's not so much the computer that's slow as it is the user that's using it. Anyone can use slow and unoptimized programs (in fact, many people do).

Is it 256MB RAM or 2 GB RAM? In either case, are you sure you've got the latest drivers? You'd be amazed how much they could boost your framerate.

deadfive

Lol, you crack me up.

System specs since a month ago:

Intel pentium 4 2.8GHz at 800FSB
2GB Dual channel ram
128 MB ATI Radeon 9200SE
500GB RAID Hard drive
Comcast internet at 4MB

those are just the important items...

You can play with 128mbram, pentium 3 800 and 20GB disc with a geforce 2 mx... And Renguard won't be a problem... It depends of your upload and download rate. It's not about your computer speed.

My computer:

PC Specifications :
CPU: AMD ATHLON XP 3200+
Motherboard: ASUS A7N8X Deluxe
Monitor: 19 inch Proview Monitor
Video Card: Geforce 6800 GT 256 mb DDR3
Sound / Speakers: Nvidia N-force 2 SOUNDSTORM
Mouse / Pad: MS Optical Mouse
Memory: 1024mb DDR
HDD: 7200rpm/120GB

I had problem with renguard before, and then I fixed my settings for my wireless router, now everything is fine.

So I would say : Check your internet settings, modem/router settings and then all will be fine.

If you have an upload that is at least 10kb and a download that is at least 20kb... No problem for renguard but again, you have to check your connection settings.

That's all.

(And I don't believe your pc specs... It's unrealistic to have a such computer that cost so much and having a fucking 9200 SE on it... Plz make a screenshot with the command : dxdiag.exe , thank you)

Any FPS above 30 is sufficient, since human eyes cant notice the difference much from frame rates above 24fps. So since you get 100fps on average, whats the big deal? If you ran RG and someone tries to use !forcerg on you, then it just goes to show that you're good, and other people will know you're good when they see you're getting all those headshots and you're running RenGuard.

I believe that is the root point he is trying to address. As Aircraftkiller stated previously, no person should have to use third party software for any purpose out of their own free will. I choose not to use RenGuard; I should not be considered lower than others because of this choice. With this state of mind in full bloom, RenGuard Users could easily create a state of mind that labels them as being the Perfect Race. If you want some kind of confirmation that my ability to kill you is purely based on my ability to play the game and not external/internal aides, then you honestly should not be playing with the public. Paranoia and fear only lead to destruction. I know there are other options out there; the problem is nobody is willing to take a look at them, let alone not be immediately against them. It's a sad state, but it just goes to show you how far this game has truly spiraled to the bottom of the barrel.

Or perhaps it is just simply the average age group/level of maturity that make up the majority player base for this game.

It's probably the age group, 90% of people on this forum are younger than 18 and have the mental capacity of a 12 year old if even that.
