I had printed the front pages source code of cncden so I could use it as a reference to get some ideas from such as their nav menu. Just the front pages source code is well over 50 pages printed. Add up all there pages and you might get over 500, 1000, or even more printed pages! That is pretty crazy. Whoever did the website coding must have been typing for years. Just an interesting topic. Oh, and to irofarts slor astronomy topic that little program is pretty cool.

Yeah, this stuff is good for thinking to yourself more or less
When history witnesses a great change, Razgriz reveals itself,
First as a dark demon,
As a demon it uses its power to reign death upon the land;
and then it dies.
However, after a period of slumber, Razgriz returns.
This time as a great hero...

You printed 500 pages of the CNCDEN website source?
I don't have a witty comment that will do this justice.

You got to love this guy, he's like a little puppy. And quite a tough puppy, since he still hasn't given up. At least he is willing to learn, and improve himselve.
Maybe you should first look for some better tutorials, and a few already made templates. I don't know where to find those, but one word of advise if you look for help. Just ask the question here. People are used to threads going of the subject, so you will get answers anyway.
ps: I hope you printed the source at school for free.
Size doesn't matter.

D5 is some sort of a hero. Each time he gets knocked down he gets back up again. It does not matter how bad the beating or the flames, he still throws him self at the problem, and overcomes it.
If that is not inspiration...I don't know what is...

I always like to think the best of people. D5 is relatively harmless, although I still wonder why this thread exists... Did I really need to know that he was printing all those pages?
Now I must start my own thread about trimming my toe nails. God dammed it was an epic battle!

Haha! I find this so funny! I tried to print out the source code from all the shitty topics you made, it was like 500 pages!
No. Seriously. No.

j_ball430 | Deadfive's harmless, and everybody getting on his case because he makes a new thread is ridiculous. This is just as bad as everybody getting pissed off at Aircraftkiller. FFS, people.
|
It's annoying, Incognito, that he MUST make a new topic for things like this.
No. Seriously. No.

To explain better why there is so much source code:
Let's say you set up a site and add a some scripts. You will have SOME coding to do at first, and it might be a lot. Now suppose you set it up so that you can use an external program to easily add content to it. You might have a sort of template for your homepage, in the content bit where you update, and you just add things like the title, content, whatever. You won't be doing all of this from code every time you add things to your site; PHP or whatever you use will do that automatically because you have set it up to do so. All you will do is use the program and type your update in; it'll take all your stuff and give it its code version. Your program will say "I see your modification; I raise you a heck of a lot of code that results from it". It's like adding a button to a windows form on visual studio; you add the button and the program generates the code needed(of course you can do that yourself if you want). cncden has been getting updated for a long time, go figure.

Walrus | I was just wondering, what can you learn from web sites source?
|
Well, I can examine PHP code to edit it... other than that I don't learn from it, I'd need to go to http://www.w3schools.com for learning stuff like that, because you can't learn from source code, unless you want to jack a flash file or something from the site.
No. Seriously. No.
