I like the first one's look better, but I like that the second one has 3 areas to put content. And what's with the ad for abyss webserver? I personally would use Apache rather than abyss for webserver software. It's very popular, many sites use it, and it's open source which is always cool.

EDIT: Apache is good.

On the first one, change the banner up top and replace it with the one from the 2nd page. And also make the whole page of the first one extend to the sides like the 2nd one.

Either one will work I'm just going to tell you my opinion.

#1 - My Pick - Very nice layout. But, I feel that it's too busy. You have too much stuff going on for me to look at all at once. For instance, the left sidebar is too packed together. Spread it out into a few sections maybe? How about a few <BR>s in there, especially before the buttons.

The top header is very nice, no issues with it. The banner below it, in my opinion should be removed. I don't see any reason why it's there. I used to do the same thing on my site until somebody said: "Why the hell do you have your own banner on your site?" Just a thought.

#2 - I like the first one better, however, this is very nice as well. Same feelings on this one as the other one. I do like the banner type better on this one.

I like this idea. Combine the best of both!

Very nice job on each. I could only wish I was that well with web graphics as you. I can make a layout but it's almost always all HTML Smile

Oh, I'm nearly done, I just need to make the background proper and switch the banners, giving the old banner to the new template.

Anyone got any ideas for the second one? Which is modeled on the first one, like how to make it more like the first one? I'm at school, so check back within ONE HOUR of this post.

Okay, I think I'm done, unless someone wants to make me a banner... ^_^
