You should all do it regularly.
If you havent done it for a very long time, then the first defrag may take a long time, but after that if you do it once a month or once every 2 weeks or so, then it will only take a few minutes.

those are some messed up drives lol
i back up my drive once or twice a month.. so i defrag before i back up
i normaly use the normal windows defrag..
but i've tried the defrag that norton system tools has..
and when i go and defrag with the windows defrag..
its totaly messed up.. frags every where..
it re-frags my drives..
but whats so good with diskeepper? before i go and d/l it to try.
i dunno if this is true..
but ive been told to defrag in safe mode.. does a better job?
it does take alot longer.. not sure if thats a good thing or not..

I just tried diskkeeper. It's fast, and deals with the larger files that the windows defragger will not touch.
I think I will stick with it.
