I know you can do that in flashmx, it works on text files and pictures and isn't that hard to do. The action script isnt hard. But I'm not sure if this is what you want.
I'll see if I can find a tutorial.
edit.here we go. And it's a good one. Just go to the tuturials section and click on 'building a simple text or image scroller'.

You may have to alter it a little, but it seems about right.

Careful posting serials man...
There can't be any legal reason you'd be giving out serials, so just watch your ass and careful they dont come after you.

Flash isn't that hard to learn. The mx pro 2004 though has a different set out to the ones before it. Keep this in mind when doing a tutorial from a web site - most of them need to be retro fitted to work with it.
Do the tutorials in the help files that comes with it. Then you will be fine.
