Half-Life 2 is longer than Half-Life 1, and half-Life 1 is long. It's just not a very challenging game unless you actually play it on hard (which most people don't). The story may not seem great until you actually play the first one. I've noticed A LOT of people saying it's confusing, and almost ALL of them saying they haven't played the first one... WELL DUH!!!

I've played half life , It was longer than half life 2 I think. At least half life 2 felt shorter to me. I'm not really sure , Maybe just because I played it all the time when I first got it.

I still don't think the story is very good. Half life 2 kind of gives you small hints as to what happened but never really explains all too well what happened. Hopfully the coming expansion pack will help that out.

I'm really anxious to see the coming previews Very Happy

I'd still say go with Doom 3 though then grab the Ressurection of evil expansion. I'm getting it friday even though i haven't beat doom 3 yet. Razz
