I have been working on the new look and color schemes for rengen.com and have finally finished. I have not yet finished the download section though, the downloads do not exist. But its redone, organized and simple. I made it all from scratch with a few cut and pastings for the RenGen logo. I hope everyone likes this new layout as i do.

Check it out here:

HTML Questions:

1) How do you insert images into a textbox area?

2) How do you change font settings in a textbox area?

3) How do you change the scroll bar color of the main window bars?

Lookin' better man! Lot better than what I could do. Wink Your RenGen banner is still pixelated - Remember to never utilize a small image & make it bigger on your page. That's what messes it up - start big & then shrink it to fit your page.

I'm sorry, but that doesnt look finished to me. The text on the side comes off the edge, the Banner at the top saying "RenGen" looks resized in Paint (in other words, looks too pixelated, maybe you could make the banner look better with a normal sized logo, and some pretty pictures).

The site is BEST viewed on a 1024x768 resolution because that was what it was made on. 1024x768 is one of the most common resolutions used. Id rather use codes such as <td width="100" height="100" than using a code such as <td width="100%" height="100%" because it is a pain to work with. (Or i just havnt figured it out yet)

Question: Could anybody find or give me a picture of the Renegade name that is really big, that way i can shrink it down so my rengen logo is not pixlated.

Your website still makes me want to spew.

It looks totally unfinshed.

Try creating a background in photoshop then slicing it. You'd be suprised at how much better your website owuld look.

Web sites built purely in HTML dont look pretty, at all.

I don't know what more you could pssibly expect. It is a nice clean layout, one color scheme, and a cool logo, that is a little pixlated. (which I will fix).

Maybe if I had some support and some idea's from other people intead of people dogging my site, then i could possibly make it worth while to see in your eyes.

Give me some ideas, not bad comments. I never said you would like it either, but most people i have talked to seem to have liked it.

But, like i said, give me some ides, not bad comments.

Just because your site is "best viewed" in 1024 x 768 doesn't mean that's the only resolution it should work in.

It does look better than the first one, but I can STILL make one in pure HTML that easily confines to any resolution, and looks a hell of a lot better than that does.

Web design is not for you, please, leave it to the people who know what they're doing.

whoa.

Lets just say with more & more people buying TFT's & shit, they are using higher resolutions than 1024x768.
Your website is not compatible with 1152x864. Make it.

I would have to agree that it still looks very unfinished. try not to focus on simply tables and if you are going to spend the extra time to learn/use %'s.

I really have not thought about using percents and really want to. I know that with percents the tables will take up that much space of the screen no matter what. But how do they work, how would i code them. I need to know how to do this. Could someone send me a help guide or something?

Go back to grade six and learn percents, moron...

50% + 50% = 100%

100% Width = Whole screen

Need more information?

No. Seriously. No.

OK dead - Let's say you have 10 dollars worth of a image size & you reduce it to 20% of that, then you have 20 dollars worth of an image.
Or 20% of a 100x100pixel image will be 20x20pixels etc. It's that simple.

So if I have a 100x100 pixle image, and the code is <td width="100" height="100" background src="blah.gif"> How would that be?

Would it be <td width="100%" height="100% background src="blah.gif"> and still be the same size as it was in the first code?

Or are the codes I just typed wrong?

kind of. Remember that the TD size is not your image size. That changes the size of the table. When your creating a website like that try to create images for 800X600 monitors(still VERY common). Then with your tables if someone is using a different sized monitor it will just reformat the image to fit their screen.

Please tell me you know how to work out percentages though. Like if your menu bar is %20 then your sites main content must be %80.
