I've followed the instructions to plugging in the bluetooth port onto my motherboard (the port came with it) installed the software and it tells me the cable is unplugged. The next part of the problem is that the cable has 8 pins, whereas the board has 6. If I plug it in any other way than the way it is now, it whines (I mean it actually emits a high-pitched noise) so it's the only way it can be plugged in.
Any ideas?

might be a useless reply but they probably supplied you with the wrong bluetooth (I don't know what a bluetooth is). Give the provider a phone to see if you need one with the same amount of pins at the thing it is plugging in to.

Well, the thing is it came with the board, plus I've had it over a year now so they'd probably tell me it's tough.
Bluetooth is a wireless communications protocol used predominantly (here at least) in mobile phones.
Stuff it, I'll just get a card reader and get my pictures that way..
