As the unofficial beta tester for various recent LFDS builds from codewench, i may announce that there is a new (final) LFDS build coming very soon.

it fixes the most serious bugs and brings the LFDS closer to the Win32 Counterpart.

Some of the fixes:
- All Custom Maps now working!
- Extra Units working
- Host-Messages ingame (changed team, suicide) working.
- Command Line fixed

Remote Administration Capability is provided by my renrem replacement available at http://mac.tactical-command.de/renrem/

Again - we have to thank codewench for spending alot of extra time and dedication into making this final release - We owe you!

Codewench has supplied me with a new build - very likley the final build of the LFDS.

Renegade Free Dedicated Server v1.037 GU-838 03/01/2003 - 19:00:34

03/01/03 - linux specific fixes.

Fixed custom maps.
Fixed command line options.
Fixed remaining unicode issues - player_info on rh8.0, player leaving/joining
game messages, suicide messages, team change messages.
Fixed resultsNN.txt files.
Fixed extras characters and re-enabled them.
Fixed extra skin on Mobius.
Turned off annoying spam of Registry-related warning messages.

The Server is on GSA and called "1Shell Tactical Command#1", go join it and test the new LFDS build. It'll go live on Monday�

The Server is running many custom maps - all of them are working. Smile

Humm.
I ran the old versions of these fine.
Tried the beta of the new one. Seemeed fine. But wont display in gs.
Opended ports 4848 and 25300 on firewall, no luck.
Download full release of the server. gunziped it chmod then ran it. Same thing.

Any ideas?
