it doesnt change the fact that it is used as the internet slang

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_slang

thanks for ur support again, now i have better things to do since u cant even prove ur point (i suggest u take some microsoft's internet classes before u go online again, they will even teach u leetspeak!)

"Slang" does not equate to anything resembling proper English.

While I don't agree with the over-the-top approach to ensuring the world types with adequate spelling (over-the-top simply because some people will never learn, regardless of how many times they are told), he is correct in saying that it's wrong.

It really doesn't matter if it saves you time/space/whatever, it doesn't make it proper, or acceptable in any type of business environment, or any respectable environment for that matter. There is a reason why people who type like that are laughed at....

Strangely enough, seeing as I learnt to type in school and not on chatrooms, I can type utilising full spelling and grammar. It's not just because I'm clever, it's also through habit. You type like that and send it to an employer and they'd be tempted to phone you up just to ask if you're taking the piss. Believe me I did it, they dragged me into an interview to ask if I was having a laugh. I was. I got the job...

Go figure.

Personally I disagree also with the use of numbers instead of letters. It's ok in the use of names, for example M1ke, but not in regular speech. That should be the sole reserve of a-holes who want their car registration to say e.g. Mr Singh (MR 51 NGH)

That one actually exists, go check it.

No flashy signature..

i agree with that, but it still doesnt change the fact that it is used all over the internet as a slang, and while im using internet i dont really care what other people have to say/criticize about my spelling, especially when i dont use that kind of abbrevations on my daily basis, while im doing my school work, etc.

if u were so smart u wouldnt waste ur whole day proving ur pointless arguments on the forum about the game that sucks according to u.

u wont find an answer to that in ur dictionary, aircraftkiller

I have a new plan, we ignore every useless post by Aircraftkiller. Eventually, he has to go away, or at least get a haircut. Thats just an idea though. You people constantly feed into his arguments, that just makes him want to stay more. He finds it fun to mess with everyone on here. Its a form of entertainment. So, if you ignore him, it will lose the fun, making him want to leave! Thats just my idea though.

Just to add to it all...

OMFG STFU!!!1! I H8 U ALL!!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!! OMFG ASL GIRLS? YEY! 1 4M 1337!

(I had to do that one!)
