did you guys find out what was wrong with the wires?

i heard on the news it was due to the wires getting hot and melting.. people got burnt >_<

That happened to my friend's Xbox. He was playing halo, left it on and forgot about it for a couple of hours, when he got back it smelled like something was burning, and it went out. He disassembled it, and found the power supply had gone out on it.

I accidently left mine on overrnight in a cupboard with no ventalation. I was tired of trying to get my wireless network working so I accidentaly just walked away. When I found it it smelt like something was burning so I let the thing cool off.

I have one of the faulty power cords but luckly the thing still works.

Buying an Xbox was probally one of the biggest purchasing mistakes I have ever made. I really only bought it for Halo 2. It was fun for about a three weeks. I have five games for it, and only have beaten Halo. I have not touched the thing since mid-January and I really have no plan to. I kinda want to sell it on ebay, but there are too many for sale already.
