j_ball430 | Have you ever studied or even payed attention to anything about World War II?

Ha, I think I could give you a run for your money...
If what you think is true, then shouldn't the question be: Why not just nuke Iraq? Forget about them not surrendering. Is easier to nuke the place and forget about resistance. Heck, nuke Afghanistan so we can bring our troops back...
Blind patriotism... had the Japanese launched nukes onto American soil via submarines (if they had the technology), could you feel the same way?

That is a completely different situation here. Why would we want to nuke those who we're liberating? We weren't liberating Japan.
It's a completely different situation if they would have attacked us. No, not because I'm American, but rather because of the way that Americans operate. Our government wouldn't train the women and children to attack the enemy or feel that we're dishonoring the president by surrendering.
Let's say, hypothetically, that America was in the same mindset as Japan was. Of course, I wouldn't like the idea of an atom bomb being dropped on us, but from a military standpoint, it was the smartest thing they could do. The point of a war is not to die for your country, but make the enemy die for his (Yeah, I got it off of a quote).
whoa.

If N. Korea use nukes on the US, then China is gonna screw them over for attacking one of their major trading partners. I hope this incident causes a change in leadership.

Did Clinton give North Korea nuclear devices? Please, do tell.
"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." -- Theodore Roosevelt (1918)
"The danger to political dissent is acute where the Government attempts to act under so vague a concept as the power to protect "domestic security." Given the difficulty of defining the domestic security interest, the danger of abuse in acting to protect that interest becomes apparent. --U.S. Supreme Court decision (407 U.S. 297 (1972)

Yes, but why exactly is the US #1 on every country's "To Nuke List"?

cowmisfit | I said theres quite a few countries who are currently anti-america that should be anything but. Take France for example, we saved them in WWI and WWII from being extermenated by Hitler, now look how they treat us only 50 some odd years after the fact.
