Westwood has been dead for years now. EA decided to continue to monopolize, and choose to shut down Westwood.

No, its means that you can still play on westwood online and EA decided to shut westwood down and they took over the C&C franchise. Well... all they do is reap in the money, they don't give a flying fuck about support for the game.

Thats why EA suck ass, amongst other reasons.

WOL (Westwod online) is down atm as far as I'm aware.

Another reason why EA SUCK. Failure to keep their online gaming master servers running.

Just use GameSpy! Ads are not as common as before...Unlimited buddy list... You can do everything you can on WOL.

If you have a phobia over ads, just sign up. $10 for a year = <3 Cents.

I hope I'm not sounding like a salesman...

WOL is actually Online but its connection is extremely slow for some reason! I can get online but the server list takes forever to load and there is no one in game! And Yes EA Bought out Westwood for a fine price I imagine and took advantage of everything WW had to offer. Renegade was the last production of WW before EA decided to buy them out. EA was the the publisher of Tib Sun, RA2, Emporer:Battle for Dune and Ren before they bought WW. Im sure most of you are aware that Virgin Interactive was WW original publisher of the C&C Series and the Dune Series. Before WW was bought out, they were planning to create a second Renegade and this plan continued even after WW dissolved; however, EA being the ******* that they are decided to cancel the project! Need I say more! <_< EA CAN BURN IN HELL!
