Those shells slowed my games down like crap. I'm never using them again, thanks.

Nineball | Nice man.I wish I had dual monitors..
|
Its better off without it. I have the equipment and identical monitors. It just doesnt flow, and screws up alot of games. Not to mention the starting position for windows.

hell ya dual moniter sux
they way u THINK it would work.. it doesnt
when u started the comp WITH the moniter/tv pluged in.. it would be totaly diferent in the options.. then if u just pluged it in for the first time.. was wierd
only way i liked it was on clone.. id put it on the TV and ppl sitting else where could see what im doin on the comp.. or id play games from my couch/bed
it was ok with nvidia cards cause they sum what had menus and settings built in.. but its MORE annoying with ATI cards.. cause u have to do it with the normal display menus
i dunno just didnt like it.. havent done it in a whille..
plus i need to get a 50 foot s-video cable
oblivion can i steal your wallpaper pic? muhaha
try style XP.. worked better the ashton imo.. never tried windows blinds

Don't use dual monitors unless you have a reason to. Thats of course if you don't mind error messages in the middle, etc.

Nineball | bleh...what are your PC's specs? I've seen BETTER performance with them.
EDIT: At least with AstonShell, which is what I use. WindowsBlinds used slightly more memory than the regular windows shell.

You guys sure are dissing and hammering down on the dualies.
Trust me they rock. I have never had a problem with any of the "issues" that were conjured up. It worked the first time I tried and still does. I have a nVidia card and it works great. nView is very useful.
They have great application when it comes to gaming and graphic work.
It's great for gaming because I have my TS and mIRC on that monitor. I can watch my other servers while I am playing in one, in case a mod is needed there. Also I can see who joins TS and who is actually talking when the rooms get full.
For graphic work, I have all my menus for Photoshop on the secondary monitor, thus more space to work with. This also really helps when working with Flash which has a million toolbars and so little workspace.
It may take up desktop space but that is my I have a table for a desk.
If you can, and want to, I recommend it.
