For some reason, in game, all the graphics are choppy, and slow.
I have a:
P4 2.8 Ghz w/HT
1 gig ddr 333 ram
40 gig HD
Nvidia GeForce 5200 256mb graphics card

So anyone have any clue whats wrong?

I can give more details if needed, like what speed the card is running at. Just ask!

its probably your card. a FX 5200 is pretty crappy and i used to run one of those. i never got above 20 fps.

FX 5200 and 20 fps ? Shocked

Hey guys, I have a FX5200 with 128MB. It´s the absolute minimum to play Renegade today! The GPUs Speed is 250Mhz and the Memory runs at 400Mhz -these are the factory settings in my MSI Video Card. Overclocking goes only up to 280Mhz Core speed and 500 Mhz Memors speed. Not more or you can buy a new one if you try this too hard. Very Happy

I have an Athlon XP2200+ not overclocked, it runs @1800Mhz and 1GB Kingston RAM.

I´m often on Unrules Newmaps and my avg. FPS is about 25. If I join nonoobs.net and all players are fighting in the field near me, FPS slows down till 10 in worst case Sad

My general and D3D settings in the Nvidia driver are all on Quality otherwise you cannot see Detailed things in a long distance right. And forget about AA and AF at 4x, this steals you about 10 Frames in every situation! The result is playing in slowmotion. Shocked

Although u may have the best graphics ingame then.

My next Video Card will be a 6600GT or something higher.

i just got rid of my nvidia 5200 128mb ram because i couldnt run HL2 or Doom 3 very well..... but on ren i could play a 50 person server and have a constand fps of 30 atleast on 2nd hightest graphic quility. the only prob was if they did like a 8 tank flame rush my frp would drop to like 4 if i was close to the rush. but i got a Radeon 9700 XT.... runs HL2 great doom 3 great and rens fps stays about 40 minimum during anything.
