Explained:
poobuddy(temp-mod) was playing a game with ip of 144.x.x.x
PsCloudy joined the game with the ip of 172.188.124.93 and did !help then !showmods then left.
PooBuddy(notice caps) joined the game while poobuddy(no caps) was in game but got dissconnected when PooBuddy joined.
poobuddy's ip then changed to 172.188.124.93
PooBuddy now with the name poobuddy tried to kick 2 players but it did not work(thank god).PooBuddy left the game and now poobuddy can join and now has his 144.x.x.x ip back.

it's a wol bug/glic that cam be used to go in to a game with another person's name(not RenIP) and then get them kicked out(not 100% sure) from the game, and you will also get all the mod powers that they had. I've never tested it, but i know of it, it was posted on one of the cheating sites. www.un******h***s.com hope i'm not releasing 2 much info

Its ture, Im having the same problem on my server. when the player joins the game it kicks the other player with the same nick. uh and I have also found out it kicks them after a few mins in the game but they can keep rejoining and use the mods powers. Anyways to stop this???????????

Update:
poobuddy has since then made a new name with a harder password.
We run owoserv1 and owoserv2 [RG]Cops and Robbers, and just wanted to make everyone aware of this so if it happens on your servers you will know what is going on.

Lol you a creator, come on. Renegade has an easy flaw, to fake a name this really isn't new. And actually it can be passworded protected on the servers it self, if it's running a bot I think.
And why should people be forced by you to play the game the way you like anyway?

i think we need an update for brenbot/br.net/nightregulator that does ip checks if you !atm someone there ip is stored and then checked everytime they use a mod command, and same sould go for moderators and admins, when they athenticate themselfs there IP is saved and checked just like temp mods, that sould stop this shouldn't it?
Not sure but I guess this maybe able to be put in to mirc script???
